Terms and Conditions of entry for the Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd ACN 666 477 836 - Dance Scholarship:

  1. Eligibility: The Aussie Dance Tour Dance Scholarship promotion is open to dancers of all ages and skill levels, but the dancers must have purchased an Aussie Dance Tour Workshop Pass. Certain entrants (dancers) are however prohibited from entering – these are directors of Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd, employees of Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd, the immediate family of directors and employees of Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd, associated companies and agencies associated with Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd.
  1. The Aussie Dance Tour Dance Scholarship promotion commences at 9.00 am on April 11th 2024 and concludes at 10.00 pm on April 13th 2024.
  1. The winner of the Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd Scholarship promotion must receive their scholarship within fourteen days of the winners being announced.
  1. The promoter of the Aussie Dance Tour Scholarship is Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd ACN 666 477 836. 
  1. The promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible, or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence, whether due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft or communication failure. 
  1. Total Prize Pool – Estimated valued on 2 May 2023 - $1,500 (including GST).
  1. Information regarding the Aussie Dance Tour Scholarships and how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions. By entering, entrants accept these terms and conditions.
  1. All entries will be the property of the promoter. Information entrants provide will be used by the promoter for the purpose of conducting the Aussie Dance Tour Scholarship promotion.  The promoter may disclose entrant’s (dancer’s) personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this promotion or communicating with entrants and judges.  The promoter is bound by the provisions of the Privacy Act 1998.  Entrants can request access to their personal information the promoter holds about them by contacting the promoter.
  1. The Aussie Dance Tour Scholarship is not transferable.
  1. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of Coronavirus Covid-19, public health directive, computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or effects the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter may at its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Aussie Dance Tour Scholarship, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the necessary approvals required (if any).
  1. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from any person winning the scholarship amounts. Independent advice should be sought.
  1. Shortlisting: The choreographer of each workshop will choose one dancer to be shortlisted for the scholarship. All entrants will comply with the reasonable directions of choreographer(s) and Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd, concerning the Aussie Dance Tour Scholarship, alternatively, the performance of any routine at the direction of a choreographer. 
  1. Judging: The judges will view all shortlisted entries and choose a senior and junior winner based on the following criteria:
  • Dancer’s age;
  • Level of the Dancer;
  • Performance Quality;
  • Technique;
  • Choreography;
  • Presentation;
  • Overall Impression.

The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  1. Prizes: The senior winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and the junior winner will receive a $500 scholarship. The senior category is dancers 13 years and above. The junior category is dancers 12 years and below.
  1. Notification: The winners will be notified at the concert on the final night of Aussie Dance Tour 2024, April 13th. The winners will also be notified by phone, alternatively, email.

 

  1. Publicity: By entering the scholarship promotion, dancers agree to have their name and video featured on the Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd website and social media platforms – and the dancers agree to make their image available to the promoter to exploit, to promote anywhere in the world, in connection with all publicity, promotions, advertising, marketing and merchandising activities of the promoter.
  1. Disqualification: Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any dancer who violates the terms and conditions of the scholarship or engages in any behaviour deemed inappropriate.
  1. Changes: Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the scholarship at any time.
  1. Governing Law: The scholarship shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Queensland.
  1. Liability: Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or expenses incurred by the dancer in connection with the scholarship.
  1. Acceptance: By entering the scholarship, dancers accept these terms and conditions in full.
