Terms and Conditions of entry for the Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd ACN 666 477 836 – Ultimate ADT Crew at Aussie Dance Tour:

Eligibility: The Ultimate ADT Crew promotion is open to all dance schools in Australia. To enter, a dance school must submit an online video entry to showcase their talent, an official entry form and pay the $250 entry fee.

Entry Requirements:                      

 

  • The video entry must be no longer than 4 minutes in duration and must be emailed to Aussie Dance Tour Pty Ltd ACN 666 477 836 (“Aussie Dance Tour”). The email address is competitors@aussiedancetour.com.au . The video may showcase the dance school's talent in any dance style, excluding tap.
  • An official entry form must be completed and signed by the dance school making entry. Entry forms are available on the Aussie Dance Tour Website (aussiedancetour.com.au).
  • Each entry must contain a minimum of ten (ten) dancers.
  • Only dancers who do not earn the majority of their income from teaching, choreographing or performing as a professional dancer may enter.
  • There is no age limit on who may perform as a dancer.
Participation Limit: Dancers are only permitted to be a member of one crew or entry in any given year.
  • The Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew promotion commences at 9.00 am on Monday, 24 May 2023 and the time to lodge entries concludes at 4.00 pm on Friday, 21 July 2023.
  • All entries must be accompanied by an entry fee of $250. The entry fee is to be paid to Aussie Dance Tour at the time of lodgement of the entry form and video. Payments can be made through the website or via Aussie Dance Tour bank account.

  • Only one entry per dance school is allowed.
  • Not more than 15 finalists will be selected to perform a dance routine at the grand final. The finalists may change their routines for the grand final.
  • Aussie Dane Tour accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible, or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence, whether due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft or communication failure.

Total Prize Pool – Estimated valued on 24 May 2023 – AUD $5,500. 

Information regarding the Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew promotion and how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions.
By entering, entrants accept these terms and conditions.

  • All entries will be the property of Aussie Dance Tour.  Information entrants provide will be used by Aussie Dance Tour for the purpose of conducting the Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew promotion.  Aussie Dance Tour may disclose entrant’s (and each dancer’s) personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this promotion or communicating with entrants and judges.  The promoter is bound by the provisions of the Privacy Act 1998. 
  • The Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew prize is not transferable.
  • If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of Coronavirus Covid-19, public health directive, computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Aussie Dance Tour which corrupts or effects the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter may at its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the necessary approvals required (if any).
  • Aussie Dance Tour accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from any dance school winning the Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew prize.  Independent advice should be sought. 

Appropriateness:

All dancers are to be appropriate for a general audience including young children.

All costumes should be appropriate for a general audience including young children.

Props

Props will be allowed as long as they are able to be placed onstage and removed within a 30 second time frame.

Movement of props will be up to the dance school performing

Competition Stage Dimensions: 12m x 14m

Technical Equipment/Sound & lighting

Audio & visual will be supplied by Coastal Sound & Lighting / Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre Audio Visual team.

The style of lighting may be requested but ultimately the audio visual team will be in charge of lighting performances.

Performance Music Requirements:

The music must not contain any offensive language and is to be selected and submitted by the dance crew. Directions will be sent at a later date.

Music length: Total length is to be no longer than 4 minutes

Performance:

Finalist Crews must arrive ready to perform on Friday, 12 April 2024 - no later than 6:30 pm

Performance order will be determined by the Aussie Dance Tour Team & will be available on the web page prior to the event.

Sportsmanship:

Any form of bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Failure to follow this rule will result in the dance crew being eliminated from the competition.

Medical Attention

  • It is the responsibility of the crew, coach or crew administrator to report a crew member’s injury or illness to the event organiser(s).
  • If at any time prior to or during the competition a crew member is ill, injured, or his/her physical or emotional condition is at risk by participating, he/she may be declared ineligible to compete, or disqualified from competing further. The competition organiser(s) reserves the right to withdraw any competitor who appears to have such serious disability, injury or needs medical attention.
  • Aussie Dance Tour reserves the right to require a physician’s written authorisation for a crew member to compete who is deemed medically or emotionally at risk by Aussie Dance Tour.

Judging: A judging panel consisting of not less than 3 experienced dancers and/or choreographers will choose the finalists based on their creativity, technical ability, and overall performance. The judges will review all entries based on the following criteria:

  • Dancer’s age;
  • Level of the Dancer;
  • Performance quality;
  • Technique;
  • Choreography;
  • Presentation;
  • Overall impression.

The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Finalists: The finalists will be invited to perform in a grand final at Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, to be conducted in the evening of 12 April 2024. The judges will pick an ultimate winner on 12 April 2024, immediately upon the finalists performing their dance routines. The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prizes: The winner of the Aussie Dance Tour Ultimate ADT Crew promotion will receive AUD $5,000 prize money. The prize money will be paid to the dance school of the winning performance within seven days of the winner being announced.

Media Consent: By participating in the competition, dance schools and their dancers agree to have their video submission and photos used for promotional purposes by Aussie Dance Tour. Dance schools are responsible to obtain consent from all participants (dancers) and parents or guardians of minors, and acknowledge that this is a condition precedent to the lodgement of any entry form. By entering the Ultimate ADT Crew promotion, both dance schools and their dancers agree to have their name and image featured on the Aussie Dance Tour website and social media platforms – and the dancers and dance schools agree to make their image available to Aussie Dance Tours to exploit, to promote anywhere in the world, in connection with all publicity, promotions, advertising, marketing and merchandising activities of Aussie Dance Tour.

Changes to Terms and Conditions: Aussie Dance Tour reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of the competition at any time. Dance schools will be notified of any changes via email, and by these terms and conditions being amended on the Aussie Dance Tour website. 

Governing Law: This promotion shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Queensland.

Liability: Aussie Dance Tour shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or expenses incurred by the dance school or any dancer in connection with the Ultimate ADT Crew promotion.

Acceptance: By entering the Ultimate ADT Crew promotion, dancers and dance schools accept these terms and conditions in full.
